DetailsJohn Peebles was born in Scotland in 1911. His parents were Alexander and Elizabeth (Drysdale) Peebles. John married Mary Ann and they had two sons and one daughter, William, Sandy and Elizabeth, while still living in Scotland. John had been a cabinet maker in Scotland, but the family migrated out to Australia in 1951 and he became an orchardist in Glenorie. John Peebles died in 1985.
