DetailsThis photograph was taken in October 1981. The Cottage was in the grounds of Galston High School and was used as a resource for history classes. Students would be taken there by teachers to discuss life 'in the olden days'. Small groups of students were allowed to stay at the Cottage for weekends if they were considered trustworthy and could organise a teacher to supervise them. They would wear old style clothes and cook using the utensils and pots in the cottage. There was nothing modern in the Cottage. Note the Gymea Lilies in the front garden.
