Details(John Albert) Bert Spencer with his sons Charlie (Charles Albert 1915-1999), Ted (Edward John 1917-1983) and Keith (Keith A b 1919) in the front garden of their home in Ashley Street, Hornsby (corner of Forbes Street).
Bert Spencer married Amelia Ann Bellamy, daughter of James Zadok Bellamy (1836-1914) and Susannah Bowerman, in 1914. The Bellamy family were pioneers of West Pennant Hills from the early 1800s.
Ashley Street was part of the subdivision of the old Foster's Orchard at Hornsby. The land became the 'New Station Estate Hornsby' and went to auction on Saturday September 24, 1904.
